Storm King's Thunder Coming August 16

We’re proud to announce Neverwinter: Storm King’s Thunder is coming to PC on August 16! In just under one month, adventurers will be able to investigate the sudden return of giants to the Sword Coast in our tenth expansion, which coincides with Wizards of the Coast’s new adventure.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sB9jgID3_-c

In order to fight off these colossal invaders, adventurers must return to Icewind Dale and team up with characters from Dungeons & Dragons lore, including Catti-brie and Wulfgar, characters created by acclaimed author, R.A. Salvatore.

Storm King’s Thunder introduces three new adventure zones for high-leveled players where the story missions will take place – Bryn Shander, The Lonelywood and Cold Run. After completion of the new campaign, a new dungeon by the name of Fangbreaker Island will be available to delve into, offering a challenge unlike any other.

Our first step into the much-anticipated class balance arrives with this expansion where the Hunter Ranger, Scourge Warlock, Guardian Fighter and Great Weapon Fighter will undergo overhauls to make different paths more viable. These changes are currently on Preview if you’d like to check them out.

We have more information coming soon in our series of developer blogs leading up to August 16. Keep an eye out on our social channels and news page to stay up to date on all things Storm King’s Thunder.

Will you brave the storm?

The Maze Engine: Guild Alliances is Live!

Gather your allies!

Hey folks! We’ve been listening to your feedback and working hard to improve the overall Neverwinter experience. With our new update, we’re doing a number of things to improve the quality of life. This ranges from giving guilds the tools they need to band and grow together, to helping guide players through their overall journey across the Sword Coast.

We’re also continuing to work on class balance (which is going through internal testing right now, but will be out on our preview shard in the near future) and general bug fixes.

For more info, check out these blogs:

Bringing Guilds Together
Sword Coast Chronicled
Firemane Lockbox

But that’s not all! We’re also working hard on a number of upcoming events, including Neverwinter’s third anniversary and our ever-popular summer event. We’ll have more on both of those soon, so be sure to check back regularly!

Thanks for reading and I can’t wait to see you in game!

Everytime I create a new character I fight side by side my good friend Wilfred, and evertime he murdered in cold blood we need to stop this obscene culture of killing and incorporate peace.

Great game, one of the few games where you dont have to buy a thing in the microtransaction area if you know what you are doing.

For those complaining, you can get Zen without spending a penny. Just keep Invoking, playing Skirmishes and playing PvP to get diamonds, which, if I recall correctly, you can turn 20k diamonds into 125 Zen. Might be grindy, but free is free. If you can manage to play that much, do it, I imagine the payment option is only there for people who cant play that much or cant deal with grinding...and if its the latter, its a MMO...MMOs are notorious for being grindy, even WoW's WoW Token is 20~k gold, depening on the market.

At least i enjoyed my 1.000 hours i put in this game. NWO had a grind system like many other games but now it's something unacceptable. Considering you are a normal person, you have a life to live, a job to do, a wife to love (or whatever) and children to spend time with. But you also like MMORPGs and you want to spend a few hours each day's night to enjoy playing it. There you go, you WON'T. This game demands you to login everyday, forces you to do your daily missions because you can't do ♥♥♥♥ without their bonuses and what is even worse ? It NEVER ends...

NeverEndingGrindWinter I'd say.

P.S: Don't get me wrong, i used to be an endgame player. Now tired of this "LifeBound" game.

Pay to win, can't even enjoy solo play because it's all hidden behind a paywall. the game used to be AMAZING! It was a hope for MMO players, but it just turned into another microtransaction with good combat.

The game is fun enough while levelling up, though expect a solo game. Once you get to cap there's barely any content, it's just tons of grinding to improve gear for no real reason. The game's pretty buggy, loads of outstanding issues. Very little polish, and newer content is often just re-used assets from the original areas.

It's heavily monetised. PvP is entirely pay to win. The game constantly wants you to pay to bypass grinding.

Maybe level up if you enjoy fantasy RPGs, but beyond that I wouldn't recommend it. It's aggressively after your cash and there are far, far better MMOs out there.

This game is fun and I have played my fair share of hours but in the end its still PTW (pay to win).

There is virtauly not a place where you can go in this game were the answer is not real money.

This game was fun to play but would not recommend because its mostly grindy and they urge you to pay for it each leg of your costly path.

Play it for a few hours then never again.

I like this game. I read a lot of bad reviews about it being pay to win, and maybe it is at higher levels or in PVP, but for a really smooth and enjoyable MMO leveling experience, this game really shines. Some are complaining about the dated graphics, but the animations are great and it runs smoothly on my laptop. It has user created quests, too! Fun.
