This game was one of my favourite games back in the days. Sadly, every good thing has to end. Microvolts turned into a pay2win game, which most of the f2p games does. I'm sad to announce it but Microvolts is not good anymore, unless you want to use a couple of dollars, which in my case I dont.

Whenever I join a game people go around with overpowered sniper rifles, overpowered shotguns which kills you in literally 1 hit, which I agree with, that's how it should be, but with the starting weapons it takes about 2 hits with sniper to kill 1 person, and 4 shots with a shotgun, it's ridicolous.

2/10
*Average graphics
*Decent community - Most of them are ♥♥♥♥♥♥bags, some of them are actually nice (this is my experience)

I know I only have about 20 minutes on this game but on my previous steam account I had about 60, so believe this when I say it, it's not a game to play unless you want to pay loads to win.

well i played this when it was in the beta, its now pretty unfair and its pay2win now because the new weps and upgrades and even upgrade limits got increased. it was much more fun in the beta everything was like basic(people that got the venom sniper were sort of cheating tho) and met really nice cool people there (sigh i miss you Latte~)

~ Pros ~
- Fast paced gameplay
- Variety in game modes
- Active playerbase

~ Cons ~
- Maps ( Small variety; Allow vantage points achieved by abusing glitches; No respawn hubs )
- Clan system ( Literally just a symbol except for rare photo-ops )
- Playerbase ( Paranoia via hackers; Rude; Brazilian; 150+ Ping )
- P2W ( Involves Play To Win and Pay To Win; Play < Pay )
- H2W ( Hack To Win )
- Customization ( Very heavy limit to variety due to most items being timed/ seasonal/ RT )

I have played MicroVolts for an insane amount of time. In the start, all of the Cons listed above existed. The most notable differences that I've seen are the Playerbase and the P2W of MicroVolts. Over the time that MicroVolts has been out, many-many-many cheats and hacks have been released and continually swarm the game. Speed hacks, instant captures, auto-aim, infinite HP, one shot, free money...they've all been there.

For months, the company behind MicroVolts released nothing to fend off these hacks. The result? An overly defensive community and a reinforced focus on P2W...or H2W. Fremium players relying on MP are a lot better off now...mainly because they can now take part in the stat-based war. When I first started playing, fremium players were forced to grind heavily and play with the utmost skill in order to earn better items so that they could compete against RT players with unfair stats.

And now, as I return to MicroVolts, all of these issues remain. And they have all appeared to worsen. You may enjoy the fast gameplay as you take down opponents...but save your wallets and enjoy something much more palettable and better coded!

Microvolts can be a fun game, that is IF you can create a game with your friends and the right kind of people. I recently went back to this, and was glad that they added an Assist Point feature in the game now, so now players are rewarded with Assists if they caused damage to the enemy, but another teammate makes the kill. The customization, has improved slightly, as now players can choose either "Bullet" or "Explosive" resistances when choosing parts. The game's cartoonishly violent feel is always enjoyable, with tons of weapons that compliments how you want to play.

HOWEVER, I said it's enjoyable when you play with friends and the right kind of people, because this game has one of the worst online communities I have ever seen. Apparently you are the spawn of Satan himself if you happen to shoot an unsuspecting enemy player in the back, use the Minigun at all (even just holding it out), and you can be kicked for the stupidest f***ing reasons that I have seen players give out. Every now and then, you'll also cross paths with players who feel the need to use unnessecary hacks, such as aim bot, speed, rapid fire auto-shotgun (whatever the hell you call it), Infinite health, etc, that I really hope the Administrators fix soon.

Honestly, I am torn at whether I should reccommend this game or not. The Community, like I said, is absolute s***, probably as bad as Heroes of Newarth and League of Legends (Shots fired), but the game itself is really damn fun when playing with your friends. It's such a shame to see such a fun game just get destroyed by how the various players act.

this game is awesome! BUT it's tricky to get it to work on Steam!
Heres a guide to get the working client to work on steam~

Step 1: Go to http://www.microvolts.com/download
Step 2: Choose either direct download or download manager.
Step 3: Wait for the game to download and install it.
Step 4: Now that you've got the non-steam version installed, you'll have to go to the install directory.
Step 5: Copy all of the files within the installation folder.
Step 6: Go to you're steam installation folder. (C:\Program-Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common)
Step 7: Create a folder called "Microvolts" in the common folder.
Step 8: Paste all of the contents from the non-steam installation into the folder you just created.
Step 9: Go to the steam store, search for microvolts and press install.
