Click for Gameplay Trailer
-----------This is my review account, because the low playtime.
+ detailed levels in toys optics
- desolate effects
- outdated graphics
- frayed textures

+ oblique optics
+ appropriate details such as battery indicators
+ oversubscribed action figures

- low noise backdrop
- sound samples are repeated constantly

+ well thought out map design
- unbalanced weapons strength

Map Design:
+ varied maps
+ tactical nodal points
+ lovingly designed toy worlds
- which are quite static

+ communication via quick commands or game chat
+ enemies can be offended by gestures
+ penalties for leaving early a match
- team work is not absolutely necessary
- no class system

Weapons & Extras:
+ extras on item shop or capsule machine
+ seven different weapon classes
- weapons give little to no Feedback
- unfair pay system for special equipment

Multiplayer Mode:
+ good selection of different modes
+ proven game principles
- which were implemented little exciting

Game Size:
+ wave mode for beginners
+ 9 multiplayer modes
- differ only slightly

Multiplayer: medicore
+ multiplayer playtime around 50 hours
- non-dynamic, unbalanced

Actually, crazy, colorful shooter is exactly my case. MicroVolts is then but too little twisted off to me really to please and keep me long at the rod. At the beginning I was still amazed at all the wonderful ideas on the multiplayer maps, but I have seen it all once. Even with a few bugs and latency issues, MicroVolts is a medicore MMO shooter. Those looking for a funny MMO shooter to play should definitely give the game a chance.

Score: 57 / 100

This is my first review. So.. the game is decent I had some fun. BUT there are a lot of "pro" players playing with low levels so when you will meet them the fun will be over when your score is 0/10 and they be like 20/2. Another things is they sometimes get kicked (just because they are good) So it happened to me. At level ~6 playing a sniper only map, the sniper is the only weapon i'm good with. I GOT KICKED. That's it. I unninstaled the game and wrote this. If you are too good at this game, you will get kicked (no exp or points) and if you aren't, there will be others who will make the game not funny for you. Just my oppinion, go ahead and try it

Steam kept recommending this game to me, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I like shooters. I like the art style, this could be fun.

Once you get it installed you'll see it comes with a 3rd party "security" suite. I assume to keep cheaters out. I never got that far. The entire time you're trying to do anything the program will keep freezing up to the point Windows will regularly ask if you want to wait or kill the program.

The first thing you're asked to do after logging in to something other than Steam is select a character. You can see each character's base stats and you'll quickly realize this is a pay to win game. The for money characters are more powerful than the free ones. Awesome.

I thought I'd give it a shot anyway and selected a free character. I get a tutorial loading screen and am presented with a map and interface but can't actually do anything. A couple seconds later I'm presented with a connection failed message. The only option is to click ok. Repeat for however long you feel. Didn't even get to try the tutorial. Awesome.

After a few tries I was finally able to get into the game and it has promise. But I'm very much against pay to win games and that's looking more and more like what this is.

I liked this game in the begining but i only had my items for a week because i didnt see the ultra tiny text that said this items will last one week..... so it is a pay2win game. Some pay2win games are fun but this one SUCKS! Brawl Busters WERE much better..... I WANT IT BACK! I HATE ROCK HIPPO FOR CLOSING IT DOWN!

As much as I like the gunplay in this game, the Pay-2-Win elements get in the way of the solid foundation NQ Games have here. The fact that all official tournaments outright BAN two incredibly problematic paid weapons states more than anything I could say in words. They KNOW it's a problem and they're not doing anything about it. On top of that, almost every all-weapon Team Deathmatch is simply won by whoever has the better explosives spam, which more often than not means "whichever team has more Hermes and Zeus users." Compile that onto what's probably the whiniest paid user base ("You can't nerf 'God Weapons' because I paid $200 for one"), incredibly poor balance (explosives spam & aforementioned 'God Weapons'), and infuriating design decisions (The Sherlock. That is all.) and you get a Quake-style shooter that is only fun if you're playing with friends, which means it will get stale rather quickly, especially since trying to find a good map is like trying to search for a diamond ring in a pit of quicksand.

On the flip side, this game probably has, visually, the best melee weapons of all time, though you'll never see them because all everyone ever uses is four weapons that are visually unappealing (two of which are bulky swords with ugly particle effects.), boring, and only see use because they are one-hit kill weapons, which is a shame because your other choices include a fork & sausage, a slappy hand toy, a pink lollipop, and a cocktail umbrella. This alone symbolizes the massive waste of pontential that is Microvolts. They had the potential for a quirky-Quakey shooter and instead opted to squeeze as much money out of it as possible while having massive balance issues that take years to resolve, if at all. This game isn't awful, it's mostly just disappointment. I liked it at some point, but now it's just a shell of it's former sel- BR? BR? BR? BR? BR? BR? BR? BR?

EDIT: After the more recent updates to this game, I can certainly say my opinion has changed. I now hate this game with more passion than I had ever defended it with. I hope RockHippo and NQ Games go bankrupt. It appears they are going to soon. They just lost a massive chunk of their playerbase thanks to their removal of Daily Rewards and thanks to their shortsighted money grab - sorry, I mean "God Weapons That Can't Ever Be Nerfed Because By God I Spent $7000 On It", trying to get new players will be incredibly difficult and making things easier for new players will cause their "loyal" players to ragequit. I have uninstalled Microvolts and implore any prospective players to play Team Fortress 2 instead. I now, with nary the shadow of a doubt, believe TF2 to be entirely superior in any way.

A few hackers/modders that get quite annoying here and there but otherwise it's a pretty good game. The penatly thing is pretty stupid since I sometimes join modded servers in which I cannot spawn so I wish they would take that away, beware of that players. The money system for MP (Micropoints) Is pretty good and easy to understand. I also like the characters and the customization. I do reccomend this game, I wish they would make a few changes like the penalties but yea. ^~^ Great game and I am super glad it is F2P.

I found this was actually a pretty fun game to play. This is a good amount of things to do but I find it's only good with your friends. The characters you have to play are pretty cool. Or as some would say, "KAIIWWAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" or something like that. There is definatly a grindy portion to the game, A pay to win portion, but it's not all bad of a game. I cannot stress enough if you like these kinds of games you should play it, but even if you do like these games this may not be for you. But what my opinion is mine, and you should have your own. Go give this game a try.

Fun, but of course its pay to win. You still have a bit of a chance, but not much especially after level 10.

I love the fact that it is a third person shooter , because I really hate those shooters which are cool (I mean the characters , how they look) but it is not third person.
Doesn't seem interesting to watch a hand with a weapon shooting.
So , MicroVolts its a good shooter game , even if u are a toy.
U are here to use your weapons to wreck these people , not to get mad that u are a toy.

I'd not recommend this game cause everywhere I go and I am not with my friends , there are RT players or people which are literally getting only overpowered weapons which can finish you in ONE-SHOT.
Shotgun one shot...
That's my review.

This game Is a distroyer for Rock Hippo Studioes, now I'm going to use legitimit and personal reasons to not like the game, you have been warned:

Lets take a look at the "ups" first- The game is somewhat enjoyable, the gameplay is chanllenging and has many modes and variety's in it, the characters have funny, comical personalities that are sometimes fun to listen too. They seem to keep adding new stuff to the game as it goes on...

Now to the stuff I absolutely not, and I mean not enjoy- The game ends up becoming boring after at least an half-hour of gameplay, it can become enragingingly difficult and annoying (depends on gamemode), if you are gunna start playing notw, just dont bother everyone will just buttrape you, it's set in a comical enviroment but it has anime characters in it which really throws off my mood when I played this game. The game is like that one ios app that like to subject to kids and take all their parents money, I once made an micro-transaction to this game, and only once I bought a cool cosmetic and a weapon, there are 2 types of money in this game, the one you earn and the one you can only buy... I bought some cosmetics with the earned and bought money, but it turned out a few days later, that the cosmetics disapeared... Yup, I'm not sure if this continues for anyone else, I have not played it in forever. But imagine grinding after grinding and spending 100's of dollars just to get the outfit you want, then a few days layer have all of it go down the garbage, Idk what it said, something about expiring? I don't ♥♥♥♥ing know... Anyways this game is just a huge waste of you time and hardrive space, don't get it.

I miss when Rock Hippo Studios was legit... They used to have a game called Brawl Busters, it was amazing I loved it, not to long afterwards it was removed from existance then I found out why, I want to their page and this is what "they" said, "Thanks for playing" Thanks for playing our amazing game, But unfortunately all "good", "free", multiplayer games must come to an end." Thats not what they exactly said, but pretty ♥♥♥♥ing close. I mean look at TF2, that game is been out for ♥♥♥♥ how long? Well I guess its a difference when it's that company's Bread and Butter. But either way go download another legitimate free game rather than this buisness closing peice of ♥♥♥♥. I wanna shove a Hippo into Rock Hippo Studioes "main office" and see the building fall down... Well theres my peice of ♥♥♥♥ review. And if you leave negative comments like, "uh mah gurd, suk ut uhpppp", "lel u ah haytur", I am not going to pay attention to them and delete them, because they are pointless and annoying...
