This is my first review. So.. the game is decent I had some fun. BUT there are a lot of "pro" players playing with low levels so when you will meet them the fun will be over when your score is 0/10 and they be like 20/2. Another things is they sometimes get kicked (just because they are good) So it happened to me. At level ~6 playing a sniper only map, the sniper is the only weapon i'm good with. I GOT KICKED. That's it. I unninstaled the game and wrote this. If you are too good at this game, you will get kicked (no exp or points) and if you aren't, there will be others who will make the game not funny for you. Just my oppinion, go ahead and try it

Steam kept recommending this game to me, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I like shooters. I like the art style, this could be fun.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME.

Once you get it installed you'll see it comes with a 3rd party "security" suite. I assume to keep cheaters out. I never got that far. The entire time you're trying to do anything the program will keep freezing up to the point Windows will regularly ask if you want to wait or kill the program.

The first thing you're asked to do after logging in to something other than Steam is select a character. You can see each character's base stats and you'll quickly realize this is a pay to win game. The for money characters are more powerful than the free ones. Awesome.

I thought I'd give it a shot anyway and selected a free character. I get a tutorial loading screen and am presented with a map and interface but can't actually do anything. A couple seconds later I'm presented with a connection failed message. The only option is to click ok. Repeat for however long you feel. Didn't even get to try the tutorial. Awesome.

After a few tries I was finally able to get into the game and it has promise. But I'm very much against pay to win games and that's looking more and more like what this is.

This game is terrible. Can't join a lobby or even adjust a setting before the game freezes. Can't join any lobby and there is only 1 to choose from anyway. The game freezes and kicks me out. Don't download this game.

The game is riddled with hackers, servers are bad and I frequently am put in "Lag Limbo".
Its P2W and skill based but where Skill came overcome P2W,but P2W still prevails. I try to enjoy the game as much as possible for it's skill, but with server problems, hackers and "Lag Limbo", it just makes me hate the game more and more.
The P2W is simply "Gamble for something bad with a chance your money will end giving you something you want."
pretty much I hate with a gulity pleasure and even though its weeabo shooter sim, it can be fun once Rock Hippo fixes its servers, balances weapons, and finds a better anti-cheat system (X-TRAP RLY M8)

MicroVolts Surge WAS a fun online arena shooter, however playing matches has become extremely oversaturated with people purchasing so much Pay to Win Crap that all the fun is pretty much gone. Most of the time if you want something cool like a weapon, you're gonna have to pay for it in some way, and hell if you want to buy it with the in-game system of currency then you're out of luck because a lot of it's temporary. Much of the neat anime-inspired style and map design doesn't help the fact that this game heavily relies on purchasing items to gain the advantage.

I really loved this game, and it's fun to go back to and play a little bit but honestly there are much better shooters out there which provide much more fun. Want my reccomendation? Go play/buy the game Minimum

Thanks to xtrap many cannot play. Numerous bugs, and a support crew who give zero assistance. the game is great, WHEN it works. when it doesn't just uninstall and kiss it goodbye.

This Game was decent for a short time when i played it a long time ago BUT then i noticed that every INgame item you bought with real cash was only a limited time use, Example say you bought a fancy outfit or gun for your character you enjoy or if your like me you wanna make your character to look as Kawaii as possible :P. That stuff you jsut bought will stick around for about... 7 days. so you only get a week with that really cool stuff. and it's not obtainable with ingame stuff only real cash.

So after several week of playing this game i realized... everyone playing are constantly BUYING these fancy weapons and it was pretty much a Pay to win game, here you would assume "oh im epic are Gun games like this i'll kick everyone butt with the most noob weapon" Well it's not like that. Regardless how awesome you are, They dude that wasted like $20 on his massive Overpowered Rocket launcher was destroy you no matter what.

Please save yourself that wasted time and don't bother with this game it's just a lump of disappointment.

I found this was actually a pretty fun game to play. This is a good amount of things to do but I find it's only good with your friends. The characters you have to play are pretty cool. Or as some would say, "KAIIWWAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" or something like that. There is definatly a grindy portion to the game, A pay to win portion, but it's not all bad of a game. I cannot stress enough if you like these kinds of games you should play it, but even if you do like these games this may not be for you. But what my opinion is mine, and you should have your own. Go give this game a try.

Microvolts Surge is clearly a cute little third-person shooter game. While being a good, fun game, it's involving a lot of toy vs. toy action, but the toys are literally LIVING ACTION FIGURES who are fighting for survival and dominance!
Would I suggest this, for anyone who wanted to play a unique, more obscure game? Sure; as long as you're playing it for free! Not to mention that the gameplay is awesome, too!
With 5 playable characters to start with, there are 2 more to unlock; keep on playing this, because the more it updates, the cooler the game gets! I give this 9/10, saying that it's AMAZING & SILLY FUN!
I must warn you that this game sometimes crashes, but it isn't TOO much of a problem...after all, this game is free, and since this is Steam, they can always update it; I hope they can fix tthe crashing technical problems with Windows 8.
----
This is what I previously said; it's been crashing TOO MUCH! They need to fix this, for WIndows 8 so it doesn''t DOO THAT! That, or my country-side internet SUCKS, and I should be IN THE CITY! Unless you have a "higu qualioty internet connection", DITCH THIS GAME; IT'S GOT WAY TOO MANY BUGS IN IT!

This game Is a distroyer for Rock Hippo Studioes, now I'm going to use legitimit and personal reasons to not like the game, you have been warned:

Lets take a look at the "ups" first- The game is somewhat enjoyable, the gameplay is chanllenging and has many modes and variety's in it, the characters have funny, comical personalities that are sometimes fun to listen too. They seem to keep adding new stuff to the game as it goes on...

Now to the stuff I absolutely not, and I mean not enjoy- The game ends up becoming boring after at least an half-hour of gameplay, it can become enragingingly difficult and annoying (depends on gamemode), if you are gunna start playing notw, just dont bother everyone will just buttrape you, it's set in a comical enviroment but it has anime characters in it which really throws off my mood when I played this game. The game is like that one ios app that like to subject to kids and take all their parents money, I once made an micro-transaction to this game, and only once I bought a cool cosmetic and a weapon, there are 2 types of money in this game, the one you earn and the one you can only buy... I bought some cosmetics with the earned and bought money, but it turned out a few days later, that the cosmetics disapeared... Yup, I'm not sure if this continues for anyone else, I have not played it in forever. But imagine grinding after grinding and spending 100's of dollars just to get the outfit you want, then a few days layer have all of it go down the garbage, Idk what it said, something about expiring? I don't ♥♥♥♥ing know... Anyways this game is just a huge waste of you time and hardrive space, don't get it.

I miss when Rock Hippo Studios was legit... They used to have a game called Brawl Busters, it was amazing I loved it, not to long afterwards it was removed from existance then I found out why, I want to their page and this is what "they" said, "Thanks for playing" Thanks for playing our amazing game, But unfortunately all "good", "free", multiplayer games must come to an end." Thats not what they exactly said, but pretty ♥♥♥♥ing close. I mean look at TF2, that game is been out for ♥♥♥♥ how long? Well I guess its a difference when it's that company's Bread and Butter. But either way go download another legitimate free game rather than this buisness closing peice of ♥♥♥♥. I wanna shove a Hippo into Rock Hippo Studioes "main office" and see the building fall down... Well theres my peice of ♥♥♥♥ review. And if you leave negative comments like, "uh mah gurd, suk ut uhpppp", "lel u ah haytur", I am not going to pay attention to them and delete them, because they are pointless and annoying...

Pay to win/pay to rent in every single game mode other than the *one* PvE co-op mode, that nobody seems to play. Only chance you have in PvP is to toss at the least $20+ at this game in premium currency, or get an aimbot and have no fear of VaC ban, because apparently nobody cares about this game except the half rate third party security system they force you to download as well; which hasn't caught anything in the time I have played. I'm going to try and remove this game from my library, put it in a box, nail said box shut, wrap it in duct-tape, put a 3 meter thick layer of concrete around it, and then drop it into the middle of the Bermuda Triangle in hopes I never see it again.

*Edit*: It has a cool concept, but damn either make some Free to Play only servers or make the 'I bought my skills' gap a little less over powered.
