About This Game

Waves is a twin stick shooter that can be played by anyone, but with a high enough skill threshold to keep even the most hardened shooter fan entertained.

Set in a Neo-Cyberspace arena your system is being overrun by bugs, errors and viruses and the only solution is to kill every rogue process before it kills you.

Clear the arena of enemies while racking up a big fat Combo with swift kills and well timed Bombs. If it all gets a bit too much you can use your Time Buffer to slow down the action and turn defeat into victory. Players can compete across seven different game modes with online high-score tables and Achievements in their pursuit of twin-stick perfection.

Key Features:

  • Slow down time at will with the Time Buffer.
  • Decimate enemies with well timed bombs.
  • Chain together kills for massive combos.
  • Battle against your friends scores with the online leaderboards.
  • Crunch Time – 3 minutes of intense action every time.
  • Level up and defeat the fearsome Cubes to extend your time in Rush.
  • Survival mode - 3 Lives and more baddies than you can eat but watch out for ambushes!
  • Bombing Run is all about the Boom. No guns but lots and lots of Boom. BOOM!
  • Challenge mode puts your skills to the test with 20 levels and only 30 seconds each – Try and 5-Star them all.
  • Feel the adrenaline pump with only 5 seconds to live in Chase.
  • Your Weapons are Useless! Unless you stand your ground in Hold.

The ball who shoots other balls
This has to be one of the best game you can play when you got nothing to do.
This is not really a game that i would sit and play for hours more like minutes every now and then

Standard Rules: If any of the balls touches you, you die so that's why you have lasers to shoot them before they touch you because they charge you like bulls.

The map or whatever is circular and the balls spawns randomly and you can ofcourse you move around to dodge and shoot.

There are high scores in the game that you always try to beat
It's really fun and there's many different game modes but one thing for sure, the action never ends!
It's everything to survival and different challenges and the soundtracks are awesome!
It even got one of those sweet GLaDOS voices! Like cmon buy it already!

This game is really worth the money, I would buy it again.

Waves is one those indie games i've never heard or seen before but beats some AAA titles despite being simple.

Things I liked:
+Graphics
Shiny, coulorfull and eye catching

+Gameplay
Has many game modes to keep you entertained

+Soundtrack
Motives you to play and it gives a nice touch to the game

+Scores
You can compare scores with other players in the world

A casual game to play for a few minutes or a few hours. If you're a fan of geometry wars, you'll love this game.

If you like twin-stick shooters (keyboard+mouse is actually more fun) and/or score attack, this is a definite recommendation.
I like neither. ... I likeD neither. Then I got Waves. ^^

Upsides:
- Launches quickly without forcing you to sit through endless logos. (Two skippables, and if you rename the video files, you get undelayed launch.)
- Many different game modes that all utilize, hone and broaden the basic skillset of the player.
- Good music.
- Some peculiar, moderate humor that is almost like a sports coach at times.
- Plenty of achievement goals.

Generally very motivating. Many details I cannot put into words. The whole package just is a lot of fun.
And, hell, it has a demo! You can check for yourself! Yay!

Downsides:
- You can't choose which music plays.
- Maybe some minor obstacles when using a game controller for menu navigation.
- Leaderboard display tediously slow.

One of the best, if not THE BEST, twin stick shooter around. Fast paced gameplay and music, many gamemodes, colorful graphics, recommended!

It has the concept of DubWars, except with the dubstep. :(

I love these Geometry Wars type of games. Getting this game for $0.99 is a steal. The new Hold game mode is pretty awesome. If there's a community leaderboard, I can't find it. That would be a nice addition.

Waves has a surprising number of different gaming modes. Only after playing it for a few days, I have my favorites and find the entire game quite addicting. The more I play, the better I get and the more I want to play. I have a controller and find the controls very smooth. The in game tools at your disposal are limited (Slow-Mo and bomb), but are very useful and affective. Both have saved my life numerous times. As you level up, you have a chance to get a score multiplier. I really hate when it disappears before I can grab it, but it does add some difficulty to the game. I purchased this game when it was on sale, but it's definately worth the full price.

A game so simple and inexpensive and simple, can be so fun and intense. A good concept with a very fast pace arcade shooter, and smooth graphics.

"Connection lost!" has become one of my least favorite phrases! Great game though...tons of different play modes. Easy to learn, hard to master. Challenging and addicting, for me anyway. Enjoy!
