Terraria is a 2D, action-adventure, sandbox game developed by Re-Logic. With installments on, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, OS X, Linux, Nintendo 3DS and for Wii U.

The game starts in a randomly generated world. The player starts with three basic tools: a Pickaxe for mining, a Short Sword for combat, and an Axe for woodcutting. Many resources, notably Ores, can be found while mining or exploring underground caves. The player begins with 100 health, which can eventually be increased up to 500 by finding special items underground. Some resources, and most items, may only be found in certain areas of the map, stored in common and rare containers, or dropped by certain enemies. The player uses resources to craft new items and equipment at a crafting station for that recipe. The player can encounter many different enemies in Terraria such as simple Slimes, Zombies, Demon Eyes, and various other enemies.

The player may also battle powerful boss monsters with a number of different combat mechanics, such as the Eye of Cthulhu and King Slime. All bosses can be summoned by using certain items, destroying blocks through the world, or when certain criteria are met. Several of the bosses can spawn naturally in certain places and times. The defeat of these bosses is often tied to in-game progression. For example, the Dungeon is inaccessible before Skeletron's defeat, and it is unaffected by the activation of Hardmode until Plantera is defeated. Upon defeating Plantera, the difficulty of Dungeon enemies rises drastically with new enemies. Players can attract NPCs to occupy structures or rooms they have built, such as a merchant, or nurse. Characters may then buy or sell items and certain services from NPCs with coins found in the world.

The game recognizes many different Biomes and areas. The most prominent biomes on the world map are the Forest, Jungle, Desert, Snow, the Hallow, the Dungeon, Oceans, the Underworld, and the two evil, corrupted biomes known as the Corruption and the Crimson. However, only one of these evil biomes will appear naturally in a world. The Corruption and Crimson biomes gradually spread across the world once entering Hardmode.

By summoning and defeating a boss called the Wall of Flesh for the first time, the player activates "hardmode". Hardmode causes drastic changes to the player's world. The change to hardmode also adds many new and much stronger enemies throughout the world, as well as new NPCs, bosses, ores, and items available for crafting or acquiring from enemies and boss drops. Three new bosses you can fight upon entering Hardmode are the Destroyer, the Twins, and Skeletron Prime. Pink bulbs will start to spawn in the underground jungle. Destroying these bulbs will summon Plantera. Defeating Plantera will drop a Temple Key which can be used to grant access to the Lihzahrd Temple located in the jungle. After the Golem is defeated, new NPCs appear outside the Dungeon called Cultists. The Cultists will not attack the player unless provoked. If they are killed, their leader, a boss called the Lunatic Cultist, will attack the player. Upon defeat of this boss, four space-themed minibosses called the Stardust, Vortex, Nebula, and Solar Pillars will appear throughout the world. The pillars do not attack the player directly, but they are defended by powerful enemies. After the fourth pillar is destroyed, the final boss, the Moon Lord, will attack the player. Upon defeating the Moon Lord, the player will have beaten the game's main storyline.

The game also features an Expert Mode difficulty.

Terraria is a fantastic game, featuring countless things to do. The game also allows you to connect to your friends in an Online Multiplayer Mode. Terraria is beautifully designed and never looses it’s lust. It is very creative on the different Classes of players, and is far superior to most 2D, 8-Bit, Sandboxing, games. Terraria is a must own game. 100/100

^ says I only have 43 hours, but I've beaten the game 4 times, launching terraria from steam doesn't let me join servers for some reason.
> Terraria is an amazing game and is even more awesome to play with friends. Terraria is definitely alot easier now than it was before, but it is still hella fun.

Buy it, destroy a bunch of bosses, get a bunch of cool loot, join some PVP server and get pwned hackers.
11/10 would play again

Terraria; The only game on PC where you can solely defeat the final boss using only a yo-yo.

Step 1. Go into caves.
Step 2. Kill stuff.
Step 3. Get better armor & weapons.
Step 4. Kill bigger stuff.
Step 5. Repeat step 3 and 4 indefinitely

On the serious note, Terraria is a phenomenal game & you should give it a try.

(UPDATE) Alright, alright, I fixed it, turds. Chill out.
(UPDATE AGAIN) Alright, fixed it. Thanks, rustystone.

"Terraria's just a dumb 2D Minecraft ripoff, what's so great about that?"
Hey, calm down. I'm not saying Terraria's better. But still...
I would like to say, that for the record...
This is NOT a 2D "Minecraft" ripoff.

Does Minecraft have a sword that fires rainbow cats?
Does Minecraft have other human NPCs?
Does Minecraft have yoyos?
Does Minecraft have flying eyeballs?
Does Minecraft have 14 boss battles?
Does Minecraft have cell phones?
Does Minecraft have pumpkin armor?
Does Minecraft have rainbow rods?
Does Minecraft have bees?
Does Minecraft have BIGGER bees?
Does Minecraft have lucky frog legs?
Does Minecraft have twenty-five (or so) different ores?

I didn't think so.

Probably best 2D sandbox ever made. The amount of items you can craft or get and enemies you can defeat (including bosses) is just sometimes overwhelming.

The game has 2 stages :

1) Pre-hardmode - basically a longer "tutorial" where you learn basics such as crafting, fighting monsters and exploring biomes, this stage ends when you kill certain boss in the underground called wall of flesh.

2) Hardmode - the real game begins here, monsters are stronger and new biomes appear, a lot of game content unlocks only in this mode. This stage remains forever (or you can count defeating the last boss as a end of it).

There are a lot of decorative items and furniture so builders won't be dissapointed though I was focused more on exploring and fighting rather than building.

Highly recommend this game but be careful - its addictive :)

This game is like a time machine, only that you can only go foward.

For example, start playing at 8 pm. Blink. Now its 4 am.

See? Magic.

I would rate this: my time played/10

Where can I begin. I first saw terraria when at a friends house. This was back before there was even hardmode in the game. I imideately fell in love. When I got home however, I soon forgot about terraria. Almost a full year passed and I one day I thought about it again. I decided to try to convince my parents to buy it for me. Terraria was on sale for 5 dollars at the time and was kind of a no brainer. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. Despite being on a potato system, I played the absolute ♥♥♥♥ out of this game. Fast foreward to 2016, I realized that I never wrote a review for this game

I rate 10,000 out of 10.
Seriously just buy it. If i was told I needed to rebuy terraria, but it now cost 150 dollars I would still get it.
This game is worth it.
For less then 20, its a ♥♥♥♥ing steal

There are 3 best indie games I have played

Garry's Mod, Dungeon Defenders 1 and Terraria

This game only requires about 100MB hdd space to download

But There are huge amounts of contents in it

If you have someone to play with, I strongly recommend you to try this game

Before you play Terraria, You should notice this things

1. It's not similar to Minecraft

2. Dont play alone, play with friends

3. Go to the Terraria wiki and just leaf through the pages

If you begin to play without this process, You wont be able to enjoy every content of Terraria

and you might be stuck at some point because you dont know what to do

4. Play female character, You could hear sexy moanings
