Terraria is an explorative masterpiece, delivering on a multitude of levels involving boss fights, building, and so on. Often compared to Minecraft, the game whilst taking some similar cues, develops itself in a way that is akin to a 2d dungeon crawler with building aspects that will have you playing for several hundred hours.

Pros:

- Interesting bosses. A multitude of different bosses with different mechanics to learn and conquer.

- Sensible natural progression through the game, with specific events triggering after acquiring specific items and so on.

- Interesting building mechanics, and base building.

- Crafting system which is extremely simplistic but works wonders.

- A multitude of different weapons ranging from a cannon that shoots bunnies with dynamite strapped to them, to the simple, yet elegant sword.

- The presence of specific items or mounts which make traversing terrain an absolute breeze, as well as flying equipment that allows you to explore the upper reaches of your world.

- Easy to set up multiplayer. More fun with friends!

- A multitude of biomes to explore, from the surface to the deepest depths of the planet.

- Great soundtrack which has triggers rooted within stepping into certain biomes.

- Interesting farming system, allowing for you to grow your own crops and such to craft with.

- A multitude of interesting events that can be triggered at will through crafting, or during specific timeframes or seasons/holidays.

Cons:

- An INTENSE lack of replayability outside of when updated. World generation is largely the same, resulting in no new ores or any reason to actually play the game once more. Once you've explored it all, you're basically done outside of base building and so on.

- This goes hand in hand with the first detriment to the game: A SEVERE lack of updates, which results in less of a want to continue playing the game. I was lucky enough to purchase the game when it was in early development, so I was able to continue playing, however now it has become stale.

- Poor netcode optimization. Resulting in a multitude of issues when playing the game with friends, especially when there is a water displacement.

- Monetary values become a moot point early on in the game. It's no feat to save multiple platinum before reaching "hard mode".

Overall Score: 8/10. The game delivers on multiple fronts, succeeding where most other 2D Pixel games do not, as well as delivering a refreshing take on boss fights, and exploration. Terraria lacks heavily in terms of replayability, which is where the majority of the two points were deducted at, however it makes up heavily for this fault by all of the above listed pros, and much more within the game. For $10, there's not much better a game you could purchase.

This game is amazing, especially for thoes who like sidescrollers. One thing i have to say is respawn times in multiplayer. So a friend of mine both have low health fighting the twins, then after I get killed, I have to wait like 30-25 seconds, like Seriosily its all down to luck there, untill your partner gets killed aswell. This game I would reccomend if you are looking for adventure, building and RPG (i guess) but the respawn times in multiplayer/singleplayer (havent looked at SP yet) need to get lowered down. Its just too long, even though its like 25 or so seconds, make it 10 or 7 like other versions for example: console/handheld.
To finish this off, keep up the good work, I have seen how Overworld has been, and its great. Though not many complaints for this version. so Yes i would reccomend this.

Terraria; The only game on PC where you can solely defeat the final boss using only a yo-yo.

Step 1. Go into caves.
Step 2. Kill stuff.
Step 3. Get better armor & weapons.
Step 4. Kill bigger stuff.
Step 5. Repeat step 3 and 4 indefinitely

On the serious note, Terraria is a phenomenal game & you should give it a try.

(UPDATE) Alright, alright, I fixed it, turds. Chill out.
(UPDATE AGAIN) Alright, fixed it. Thanks, rustystone.

"Terraria's just a dumb 2D Minecraft ripoff, what's so great about that?"
Hey, calm down. I'm not saying Terraria's better. But still...
I would like to say, that for the record...
This is NOT a 2D "Minecraft" ripoff.

Does Minecraft have a sword that fires rainbow cats?
Does Minecraft have other human NPCs?
Does Minecraft have yoyos?
Does Minecraft have flying eyeballs?
Does Minecraft have 14 boss battles?
Does Minecraft have cell phones?
Does Minecraft have pumpkin armor?
Does Minecraft have rainbow rods?
Does Minecraft have bees?
Does Minecraft have BIGGER bees?
Does Minecraft have lucky frog legs?
Does Minecraft have twenty-five (or so) different ores?

I didn't think so.

Probably best 2D sandbox ever made. The amount of items you can craft or get and enemies you can defeat (including bosses) is just sometimes overwhelming.

The game has 2 stages :

1) Pre-hardmode - basically a longer "tutorial" where you learn basics such as crafting, fighting monsters and exploring biomes, this stage ends when you kill certain boss in the underground called wall of flesh.

2) Hardmode - the real game begins here, monsters are stronger and new biomes appear, a lot of game content unlocks only in this mode. This stage remains forever (or you can count defeating the last boss as a end of it).

There are a lot of decorative items and furniture so builders won't be dissapointed though I was focused more on exploring and fighting rather than building.

Highly recommend this game but be careful - its addictive :)

This game is like a time machine, only that you can only go foward.

For example, start playing at 8 pm. Blink. Now its 4 am.

See? Magic.

I would rate this: my time played/10

Where can I begin. I first saw terraria when at a friends house. This was back before there was even hardmode in the game. I imideately fell in love. When I got home however, I soon forgot about terraria. Almost a full year passed and I one day I thought about it again. I decided to try to convince my parents to buy it for me. Terraria was on sale for 5 dollars at the time and was kind of a no brainer. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. Despite being on a potato system, I played the absolute ♥♥♥♥ out of this game. Fast foreward to 2016, I realized that I never wrote a review for this game

I rate 10,000 out of 10.
Seriously just buy it. If i was told I needed to rebuy terraria, but it now cost 150 dollars I would still get it.
This game is worth it.
For less then 20, its a ♥♥♥♥ing steal

There are 3 best indie games I have played

Garry's Mod, Dungeon Defenders 1 and Terraria

This game only requires about 100MB hdd space to download

But There are huge amounts of contents in it

If you have someone to play with, I strongly recommend you to try this game

Before you play Terraria, You should notice this things

1. It's not similar to Minecraft

2. Dont play alone, play with friends

3. Go to the Terraria wiki and just leaf through the pages

If you begin to play without this process, You wont be able to enjoy every content of Terraria

and you might be stuck at some point because you dont know what to do

4. Play female character, You could hear sexy moanings
