I must've logged at least 100 hours in this game on my original cd copy. Bought it discounted on Steam just to play a few games again, and after lots of hassle I actually managed to get into my 6 years old account with multiple level 40+ cities.
Good times were had.

my first PC game was a "Age of" game but even after all this time i love it just as much maybe more than i did back then. its an amzing game that can be both laid back and casul or intese and heart racing ^-^

A fair sucessor to AoE2 it takes gameplay to a 3D level but keeps the Age of Empires charm. It adds new features like a hero and hunting which add different stratagies to the game. In my opinion the gameplay is quite different to the second AoE which is misleading. Still this game pushes new limits for it's time and retains the live action charm of its previous version.

My favourite strategy game. Great gameplay, great graphics, great nations and great story. Honestly i can't say a negative thing about this game. Pretty sad they never made Age Of Empires IV.. I would like to see how could they improve this one.
It's a 10/10 game.

This game captured my heart. The gameplay is great, and still even though it's such an "old" game it is awesome to see that on an avarage day there are 1000 people online against who you can compete. It is super fun great game quality for money!

I love the entire Age of Empires franchise, I'm still sad about Age of Empires online shutting down, but at least we still have the good old classics. :D

Good graphics game, fair Age of Empire II successor, but i feel more enjoyment while playing AoE II. The UI of AoE II is far better, not so robust, showing more things at once. This game is a bit simplified although it was not needed, because AoE was easy to understand game always.

Well, not so good as AoE II, but still good to play game. A bit overpriced for an old game - 37€. If you don't have any AoE game, I recommend to get AoE II first for 20€.

This is one of my all time favourite games. I first played this game11 years ago when it came out, and it still holds up no problem today. There are no grand strategy games quite so immersive as this. There are other games in the real-time strategy genre, but I don't know what they are, nor do I care. This is the only one I need. The complete collection offers massive replayability, and I can atest to that as I am still not bored with this game.
