ABOUT EMPIRE: TOTAL WAR

Dominate the 18th century on land and sea. Command the seas, control the land, forge a new nation, and conquer the globe. Empire: Total War takes the Total War franchise to the eighteenth century Age of Enlightenment — a time of political upheaval, military advancements, and radical thought, captured in stunning detail in Empire: Total War.
Empire: Total War introduces a host of revolutionary new features, including true 3D naval combat. For the first time in the Total War series, you will be able to intuitively command single ships or vast fleets upon seascapes rich with extraordinary water and weather effects that play a huge role in your eventual glorious success or ignominious defeat. After pummelling your enemy with cannon fire, close in to grapple their ship and prepare to board, taking control of your men as they fight hand-to-hand on the decks of these wooden behemoths.
In addition, Empire: Total War will see further enhancements to the Total War series’ signature 3D battles and turn-based campaign map. Real-time battles will pose new challenges with the addition of cannon and musket, challenging players to master new formations and tactics as a result of the increasing role of gunpowder within warfare. And the Campaign Map — for many, the heart of Total War — introduces a variety of new and upgraded elements, including new systems for Trade, Diplomacy and Espionage with agents; a refined and streamlined UI; improved Advisors; and a vastly extended scope, taking in the riches of India, the turbulence of Europe and, for the first time, the untapped potential of the United States of America.
  • Take command on the high seas. New real-time 3D naval warfare takes Total War's unparalleled battle action to the high seas, with players commanding single ships or vast fleets.
  • Become a founding father. Starting in 1700 — The era of warfare across oceans, revolution and the founding of the United States.
  • All new graphics engine and technology features staggering real-time seascapes, new advanced landscape and flora systems, and dynamic weather.

Have you ever wanted a fresh cup of tea made with the freshest and finest of Indian tea?
Maybe you wish to invade India and create an empire of tea and corruption?
Maybe you just hate the French with such an unreasonable passion that you want to invade them for nothing?
Or becuase they are French?
Have you ever hated freedoms and liberties?
Maybe you just want to crush the American Revolution and Tax the ♥♥♥♥ out of them for high quality tea?
Ever wanted to sink a Spanish Armada just becuase its too Catholic for its own good?
Or maybe, just maybe you want to demonstrate the beauty of gunpowder to the savages of the Americas?
Maybe you want to murder a people in order to force them to grow you opium? Maybe you want to murder a people in order to force them to buy said opium? Either way the Chinese and Indians won't mind another Opium War...

At the end of the day, if you are a war mongering, tea drinking, bayonet using, people oppressing, gentleman of Her Majesty's finest of British Empires then this is probably a good game for you...

And if you like RTS's then this is a good choice... Worth every penny... every penny you made selling opium you sold to the Chinese...

Empire: Total War is a strategy games from Creative Assembly and published by SEGA. It is the next installment in the Total War series. Empire: Total War set in 18th century.

Empire: Total War still retain some gameplay element from the previous Total War, but majority of it were improved and changed. Settlement are no longer centralized, now each province also include minor towns and villages that deal with trade or technology aside from the central settlement. This allow factions to disrupt a province's productivity without assaulting the main settlement. Diplomacy, taxation, and trade have been someway streamlined which means less faction micromanagement. In the previous Total War, governor needs to be appointed in each settlement and each governor only affect the settlement where he present. In Empire: Total War, we appoint ministers to form a cabinet or court to govern the nation, which mean the ministers will affect the whole nation settlement. Also a research tree has been implemented. The way agent works has also been changed. There are only 3 types of agent now, Rakes, Missionary and Gentlemen. For the first time in Total War series, a naval battle has been added where you can engage in ship to ship battle, boarding enemy ships and such. Naval battle is the most epic gameplay in this game. Land battles now takes different approach. You now will command army of musket rifleman who no longer engage in melee combat, and artillery cannons will play big roles in each battle.

Empire: Total War also has better and improved graphics. Everything from the skies to the ground has been improved. You will see a lot of smoke effect now from the fired rifle and field cannons. Water shaders is the best improvement in the game, makes naval combat more epic. Units animation are more smooth than ever, but still not optimized when they stationed on fort walls.

Performance of Empire: Total War is good but not really optimized. The game will run just fine most of the time, and is playable regardless.

Empire: Total War is the next generation of Total War series after Medieval 2: Total War. With improved gameplay and graphics, the game is really good. I recommend this.

The simplified interface elements, great campaign, and much-improved map and information screens make this the most accessible Total War yet, and a great place for those unfamiliar with the series to get started.Empire: Total War is a masterful combination of all the things that I love about strategy games -- a great setting, a first-rate presentation, tactics that reward maneuver, and a strategic layer that requires flexibility in your plans...Simply put, if you're a fan of strategy games, this is one game you must have in your collection.Empire: Total War is breathtaking in its scope, enthralling in its detail, and staggering in its execution. Despite one or two minor flaws, it should be considered one of the very best strategy titles available on any platform.Looking for errors in this game is pretty hard, but the sluggish controls and small AI quirks prevent Empire: Total War from scoring perfect. Still, it’s a feast for every strategist. This is one of the most sophisticated, entertaining, and historically accurate strategy games ever made.
