We are having a great time working on The ORION Project and are very excited for the upcoming Version 1.5.5 (Agora!) and Version 1.6 (PvP Module).

Dinosaurs, Jetpacks & Mechs.
Games Can't Fail - Only Developers Can.

We invest everything we have into research and development and have spent next to nothing on Marketing to date, apart from a few boosted Facebook posts and promoted YouTube videos. We prefer to keep it this way as it benefits the actual game and allows massive amounts of content and focus for a smaller indie team like ourselves.

We believe we can accomplish what we need marketing-wise with a little bit of your help. We believe now is a great time to get into the game as we will have a variety of editions of the game, catering to different pricing models and with the more money we make, the more we can invest into the product and do for you.
1. Post on Social Media (Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Twitter)
2. Tell a Friend, Family, Peer
3. Write a Steam Review *
*-Good or Bad, just ensure you leave feedback for the Developer/Consumer.

It is no lie that I am by far the biggest fan of Orion and nobody wants to see it completed more/faster than I do. This is the biggest advantage we have over any competition and this passion allows for incredible production speed.

Let's Have A Chat

There has been some confusion regarding what we're up to and I wanted to clear a few things up for everyone.

A little while ago we cancelled all other titles/developments at Trek Industries once we internally committed to approaching The Orion Project again. While most of these titles and games were never publicly announced or mentioned, some were.

These cancellations included games like:
1. ORION: Interlude (sequel to Prelude)
2. ORION: Interlude (Episodic Campaign)
3. ORION: Retro (action/platformer)
4. ORION: Fueled (Adrenaline Racing)
5. ORION 1 (Campaign, Trilogy)
6. ORION 2 (Campaign, Trilogy)
7. ORION 3 (Campaign, Trilogy)
8. OrionVR

We decided to cancel these titles not because we're not going to be delivering these experiences, but because we want to deliver them in a new and unique way - a way that doesn't split or segregate the community by forcing an annual or bi-annual re-purchase of a new game or sequel. This also benefits us on the development side of things allowing us to focus on what we create instead of going backwards and re-creating/re-modulating systems and modules every year.

Instead we're going to use all those designs and technology and integrate it into one giant and connected experience via The Orion Project. These are games within games, but are being called Modules because of their inner-connected relationships/parallel activity alongside other modules at the same time.

So you'll be getting that sequel to Prelude, which is incredible FPS and Third-Person gameplay with the ability to purchase Weapons/Vehicles (coming after 1.5) and tackling side objectives and bonus missions. It won't just be a new camera angle and weapons as we've also evolved the overall gameplay that occurs during these modules and perspectives and will be taking it a step further.

You can see these in changes like the mobility of the power source (Harvester) compared to the Power Gen (Prelude), the ability to buy weapons/vehicles anywhere rather than running all the way to a shop, the confirmation of weapon attachments, the deeper player customization and so much more.

So if you're a fan coming from ORION: Prelude you will find the experience of the sequel within The Orion Project courtesy of the FPS Module 1.0 and 2.0, otherwise previously known as and using content/assets/designs from ORION Interlude (aka ORION: Prelude 2).

You're getting an entire FPS games worth of content courtesy of this integration. We will be doing the same thing with the Mechs and we will be doing a full games worth instead of a Mech-spin off game.

So instead of just one Mech vehicle with a preset weapon loadout in the game like Prelude, we will have multiple classes of Mechs with an on-going and growing list of unit types within those classes. In addition we are developing an entire arsenal of weapons exclusively for the Mechs and the content of the Mech module will be comparable to a game like Titan Fall 1.

The same goes for the Racing module(s), the Campaign, and so on and so forth.

- - -

We are tackling each project one at a time to not get overwhelmed and I believe we are making incredible progress and a year from now people will very much enjoy what we are all building together.

I have only gotten a chance to play the survival mode and what I saw was well worth the 49 cents and then some, I loved watching the T-Rex tear my teammates to shreds..... 10/10 would let them get eaten again

Hundreds times better than Primal Carnage ! Very well optimized ! You can purchase equipment like in Just Cause 2 (weapons, tanks, helicopters).
Best 0,49 cents I've ever spent !

This game is has a few rough edges, but it's really fun.

If you enjoy Killing Floor, Sanctum or Team Fortress 2 in Mann Up mode you should give ORION:Prelude a try. It's like playing Sanctum with bots instead of a maze, but on the island from Ark and with special abilities and hats.

I suppose every game has hats now, but still.

Give the zombies a break and mow down dinosaurs for a change.

I really believe its a good game even as arcadish as it is now, but I just cant reccommend this to any of my friends. There are not decent servers with playable pings for me and my pals. Nowhere in my region are there any servers...I bought it simply because I found it cheap. Gameplay animations, etc could really use some polish...but for the low price I wont complaint much there.

Doesnt seem too great. And only international servers. (Not in South Africa)
Any money you spend on this is just a donation to the devs.

Games can't fail, only developers can.
This game is by far the greatest bang per buck value.
It plays a lot like Unreal Tournament 2004, combined with a bit of HALO all mixed in with dinosaurs.
Grab a couple of friends and go nuts in this game. You'll have a blast and I don't think you could spend that little bit of cash anyway better.
This developer should get way more praise, they are like the indie CDProjectRed.

"Ha it's only a dollar It'll be a piece of garbage but whatevs"

*plays for 20 minutes*

I have now found the ultimate reason to go on in life. I shall forever be a knight in the holy crusade against the blasphemous dinosaurs. I hereby devote my very existence to driving a tank and shooting velociraptors on the ground and failing at taking pterodactyls out of the sky. ORION: Prelude is the pinnacle achievement of humanity.

11/10 would get stomped on by a T Rex again

So what is
ORION: Prelude?

It is an FPS (first person shooter) with dinosaurs, your goal is to defend the generator from the dinosaurs. As you defend the generator and kill the dinosaurs you get money to uppgrade your weapons (all sorts) and get more abillitys for your character. This game is pretty hard sometimes but very challenging.

You can spawn as 3 classes, the Assult, Support and Recon (every class start with diffrent guns). As almost everygame the diffrent classes has abilitys. The Assult have a jetpack wich you can fly a decent amount of time untill it needs to recharge, support have a heal gun (you can heal players and the generator with it) not much more to say about the support class. The recon can be invisible for a decent amount of time from the dinosaurs, (you can not shoot dinosaours while your invisible).

So many weapons of all diffrent kinds.. What one should I buy? Thats totally up to you but I really like the bow and rocket launcher and also when you have choosen a class you spawn with a pistol not anyting more. You'll get better and better weapons for points (you get points from the dinosaours by killing them).

It exist many vehicles which is awesome feature for this game, from small vehicles to big helicopters. They all are rideable.

We combined a hover bike with an upgraded rocket launcher to make a weapon that surpassed Metal Gear.

Great value for money

Overview: While its not the best game ever it certainly gives you a lot of bang for your buck. At a very cheap price this game can last you a very good amount of hours. Getting all the achievements has taken me a very long time, and for the 69p I got this game for it was obviously worth the price. Great for 4 co-op fun, and is also good for other modes.

+ Very very cheap
+ Great co-op experience
+ Good variety of maps, 20+
+ 50 + weapons and gear to go nuts with
+ Vehicles that add more fun into the game
+ 10 dinosaurs to play and wreak havoc with
+ Offers 250+ achievements and also trading cards
+ Bots and offline play if you don't have friends or the best internet
+ Good variety of modes, 15 in total, including versus, open world and co-op
+ Level ups, rewards, unlockables and cosmetics to keep you feeling and looking snazzy

Neutral Points:

> The game itself is ok, not terrible but not great either
> Achievements, while I do love to hunt and get them, there are a ton on this game

- Animations are poor
- A very low playerbase
- Graphics are not too great
- Performance is a hit and miss, it can be really bad or it can be good
- Achievements can be hard to get for various reasons, mostly due to the low playerbase though
- Despite offering lots of game modes, maps, weapons and the such, this game does easily get repetitive

Download Size: 3854mb
Trading cards: 12 in the set
Achievement Difficulty: Very Hard to 100%
Hours to 100%: 200+

Rating: 5/10
Recommendation: Due to it's extremely cheap price it is worth a go, however do note you will either like it or hate it

After playing too many hours on end, this game is pretty damn amazing.

-3 Class Combat
-Jetpacks, rocket launchers, machine guns, Lasers, Bows, Snipers, Shotguns (You can carry an ENTIRE ARSENAL of weapons)
-Trex, Triceratops, Stegasaur, pteradons, raptors, compys, spinysaur
-Mechs, Tanks, Hover bikes, Mounted Jeeps, Helicopters, turrents
-Simple Combat, simple controls
-Mow Down ENDLESS hordes of dinosaurs
-Hand cramps(from all the damn flying and shooting)
-Physics do not exist (I stood on a flying helicarier while shooting a giant plasma beam)
-Helmet graphics (Freezing, Raindrops, flying dirt) are highly immersive in the combat experience
-Its really Easy, and its really hard

-Highly unrendered, graphics can be ALOT better, if you can look past it
-servers are sometimes buggy
- HUGGGEE Lack of instruction & tutorials (took me a while to understand the controls and shops)
-Bots are stupid (Though they make up in shear numbers and high attack)
-Lack of Backstory/any story

*my Love for this game was its simplicity, I always turn to this game to blow steam because it doesnt reqire alot of strategy, just alot of slaughtering. This game uses Left 4 Dead combat with a Halo Themed people, and a Jurrassic Park enviornment. You will never feel more clenched when you're dropping missiles at a Dino Boss in your helicopter while a hundred pteradons are knocking the crap out of your ship.

The game Forces you to stay alive as long as possible, upon death you have to wait around 30 seconds for a respawn and you drop all the weapons you collected in the levels. Though your weapons can be picked up again when you respawn, if you rememberd where you died of course. If you dont buy this, then you have NOOOOOOOOOOO idea what you are missing out on.
