The ONLY thing that could make this better would be if there were game modes with nazi dinosaurs.

TLDR version;

Co-op or versus horde mode shooter with dinosaurs. Some bugs and lacks polish, but for its price (50 Euro Cents thereabout?) this is a shockingly FUN game. If you're looking for a co-op game to play with up to four other friends, I'm giving this game a glowing recommendation!

In a bit more detail:

What's good:
  • Dirt cheap
  • Large maps with obvious inspiration from the Halo games
  • Surprising amount of depth thanks to the three classes, gear choices, augments and vehicles
  • Competent and frantic horde mode gameplay
  • Dinosaurs
  • Silly waves

What's bad:
  • Some obvious bugs here and there
  • Some nice shaders and lighting effects but ultimately not a great looking game, player models in particular are butt ugly
  • Poor volume normalization, you'll know what I mean when you hear the gatling guns fire
  • Solo play with pretty basic bots is supported but feels very lacklustre

I'm quite frankly blown away at how many hours of very entertaining horde mode shooter action my friends and I have had with this game already, value for money wise I don't think I've ever seen any game quite like this. As such I can't recommend this game enough. If you compare 'ORION: Prelude' to 'Killing Floor 2' it doesn't hold a candle of course, but that would be silly, wouldn't it ? I love this game!

What can I say about ORION: Prelude? Let's start with what it's not...

It's not a perfect game.
It's not 100% bug-free.
It's not a contender for Game Of The Year.

But more importantly, let's go on to what it is...

It's extremely fun.
It's very well supported.
It's extremely fun.
It's got a great community.
It's extremely fun.
It's amazing value for money.
Did I mention that it's extremely fun?

For the price, you wouldn't believe that this is a fully-fledged multiplayer FPS with solid progression, numerous weapons and power-ups, a decent array of vehicles and goddam dinosaurs to gun down! But that's exactly what it is. You probably won't put hundreds of hours into it but it certainly doesn't feel like a £0.79p / $0.99c game. In fact, I reckon this is the single best value for money of any game in my entire collection. I've certainly got my 79p worth and then some - and I still keep coming back for more!

If you like multiplayer FPS and you're not literally penniless, why are you still reading this review? At this price, just buy it already!
