Not even worth it for the Black Rose. Apparently there was an "anticheat" rootkit installed too because of this.

Just don't even bother.

Apparently, you have to pay to have a female avatar. So that's a thing.

If you play tf2 and like cosmetic weapons, get your knife and get out. For everyone else, avoid.

I've been playing this game when it was still on Ijji. After the transmission to Aeria I still played for a couple of years until I stopped. After several years I realized I hadn't deleted A.V.A. yet so I updated it and decided to give it a last go and see where the game has headed.

I considered the time I spent at Ijji a hell. Then everything changed when the Aeria nation attacked. I realised how much better Ijji was. I thought Ijji was pay to win with no balanced gameplay but Aeria totally screwed everything up, so I quit.

By no means am I saying A.V.A. is still bad. At the current state it is mediocre and okay at best.

The game itself feels really good and it runs smoothly. The bullets make you feel like you are actually hitting something. When you run you are actually running, not too fast and not too slow. I really like the recoil, almost like you are holding the weapon yourself. The bullets go inside the crossair while the crossair starts blooming while moving upwards and sideways. So it requires some skills to control your weapon, bursting, tapping, moving your mouse accordingly while dodging. Moving makes it harder to control but it is not impossible, so striving is a option.
The weapons are permanent which is just amazing. There are lots of gamemodes, maybe not original but they pretty much covered it all. If I were to list the gamemodes it would be endless. Even the official site of Aeria doesn't cover all gamemodes. You have the classic Demolation and Annihilation to the 'what are these gamemodes even doing in this FPS' gamemodes like Last Man Standing and Battle Tanks. It almost looks like a desperate attempt to keep the game alive to be honest. Even though they have insanely lots of gamemodes, by no means does it mean that all the gamemodes are adored by the community. Some gamemodes seem deserted like Infection while others are always full like Annihilation.
Same story for the Maps, tons of Maps, but not all Maps are being played. However there is still some variety, enough to enjoy it.
The game is fairly easy to play. You shouldn't have any problems as it is just another basic FPS. They even created a channel for new people so you won't get recked by the pros. If that isn't enough they even created missions for you that help you understand the game better while earning in-game currency and gaining extra free expendable equipements.
These equipements should help finding a suitable playing style and the in-game currency can buy you new permanent weapons with modifications. Modifications are kept simple, but at the same time can have a lot of impact on the gameplay, it is a must.
The graphics used to be mindblowing but now it is nothing compared to the other FPS games. I am not saying that this is a bad thing. It is actually some good graphics that can be run by almost everybody nowadays. The graphics are good, but nothing special.
The sounds are very nice and really give you the goosebumps. I really like how I can feel the adrenaline flowing through my veins whenever I'm in a tough position and hear the enemies running towards me with explosions and gunshots everywhere. The sounds makes the action a lot better and the music is very nice too. It gives the game an extra kick.
The animations are not bad at all. It is realistic and smooth in first person. When looking at others though (so third person) it seems like an upgrade of cs:s to me. But it is endurable. I'd say it is even fascinating to see those ragdolls flying everywhere.
I like the equipement system, pretty basic if you ask me.
You can choose between 3 classes so that is also a good thing.
They even made a server for competetive playing, for individual ranking to clan wars. I didn't bother with that though so I can't say much.

The game is almost fair. Is it pay to win? In my opinion it is not anymore. However it is not balanced either. There are always several guns that are just way better than others, making other guns feel useless. Good thing is, most META guns can be purchased with in-game currency. It is fairly easy to get in-game currency. If you play enough you get supplied after you SP bar is full. You get money and equipement. And if that is not enough you can also participate in events to gain money faster. If you spend enough time in the game you get what you deserve. I'd say 2 weeks for 1 permanent weapon if you play alot.
The game used to have lots of hackers but that issue is resolved.

Does Aeria listen to the community? I don't have the feeling they do. And for that reason the community seems to be die slowly.

Basically, still a very good game for the poor with bad computers. Or if you are bored, give it a try, however, the real hell starts after getting kicked out of the newbie server. You will get dominated by overpowered gun.

I really wish that they made the weapons more balanced like back in the Iji days. This seems to be the only thing that screws up the whole game.

This is utter ♥♥♥♥ that i would wipe my ♥♥♥ with. I only played this game in order to get the Black Rose in Team Fortress 2. And now I cant even get that because this game is a broken mess. I created a character and completed like 5 damn missions and still didnt recieve an acheivement. Valve, your better off just giving me the knife than making me waste my life trying to get a weapon on a game that wont even work right
