About This Game

A.V.A. is a free-to-play, team-based, military shooter that plunges you into the middle of a world at war. Fight in brutal 5 vs 5 combat across dozens of maps wielding authentic military weapons. Side with the European Union (E.U.) or the Neo-Russian Federation (N.R.F.) to determine control of the battlefield. Test your skills against your friends and see if you have what it takes to come out on top!

Key features:

  • FREE Guns: Over 90 weapons purchasable with in-game currency. Now you can fight, not pay, for your license to kill.
  • Loads of Content: Over 90 maps and modes, over 300 weapons, and new content coming every month. Never run out of things to do, weapons to experiment with, or enemies to kill.
  • Killer Classes: Select from 3 distinct classes with their own talents and abilities. Get up close and personal with the SMG and shotgun wielding Pointman, lay down suppressing fire and deal lethal damage at mid-range with the Rifleman, or take the one-shot, one-kill path with the long-range, death-dealer, the Sniper.
  • Squad Commander: Take command of your team to unlock high tech binoculars. Scope out distant locations, mark enemy soldiers, and report back to your teammates before sending them in for the kill.
  • Weapon Customization: Turn deadly pieces of military hardware into epic killing machines. Add custom parts or modify your weapons to improve recoil, damage, accuracy, and more.
  • Unlocks, Medals, Badges and Achievements: Complete daily quests, accomplish rare feats of strength and skill, learn new and deadly skills, collect caches of weapons, armor and money, and much, much more!
  • PvE Scenario Mode: Team up with between 1-3 friends to take on the challenging Scenario mode. Discover the story hidden within A.V.A. via the contiguous Train and Over Rider modes. Unlock special weapons and abilities only available in these exciting modes.

If you are looking for an honest review other than the tf2 achievement reward:
I have been playing this game since ijji was the owner. I have had many accounts since. I will enlist SOME pros and cons in this game. (this is my opinion) :

Pros :
-Variety of gameplay modes, maps and weapons,
-Strategic weapon classes,
-Few hackers (at least from what i can see),
-Permanent weapons are back now ( but the AP ones are still overpowered )
-Regular updates with new content, maps and modes,

Cons :
-Pay to win, the best weapons, armor and equipment are going to cost you money (some weapons cost 20 Euros/dollars ), unless you are willing to spend half your time making free ap through surveys,
-Stupid weapon names,
-The amount of people who play this game has dropped. Many experienced players who will crush noobs,
-There are no more beginner rooms, can be offputting for beginners,
-Cpu heavy,
-Half of the players use AP weapons, which seems unfair,
-Many glitches when playing coop,
-Aeria will close down your account if you are inactive for too long ( a year I think )

Other :
-For some reason some of the local files may appear as viruses through your antivirus,
-The game takes ages to load even though I have a decent enough rig

Overall, AVA is a good FPS, I find that the gameplay is great but i also think that Aeria could make much better by not making it a pay to win ...

Let's have a little Q&A from someone who has played the game for more than thirty minutes.

Q: How long does it take to download?
A: Far too long.

Q: Is it worth it for the Black Rose?
A: Yes!

Q: Are all of the servers flooded with hackers?
A: I have only encountered one legitimate hacker. Beyond that it's simply knowing how to play.

Q: Should I use my scope?
A: If you're not a sniper, it actually makes your aim worse.

Q: Will my ping ever be below 100?

10/10 would rektangle squares again
