CameraBag 2.7 Released!

Nevercenter has released a big update to our award-winning desktop photo app CameraBag!

For this update we’ve streamlined the interface even more and added several new useful tools. Try the innovative Gamma Curve tool to precisely control brightness levels in a powerful new way. The new Filtered B+W tool lets you interactively dial in the perfect tone balance for your black and white photos.

We’ve also totally redesigned the default filters included with CameraBag, focusing on professional looks that will stand the test of time. User-created filters are now saved in their own section in the Presets tab, and power users can sort their filters into as many different folder groups as they like.

Of course we’ve also fixed several bugs here and there. Mac users will notice improved color profile handling and batch processing functionality.

What's New
  • Streamlined tabs and updated interface
  • Dozens of new, totally redesigned filters

Über diese Software

Welcome to CameraBag, a modern, award-winning photo app with a fresh approach to editing your pictures.

At the heart of CameraBag is our proprietary Analog Engine, which applies every adjustment you make using non-destructive 32-bits-per-component accuracy, all at blazing speeds. What that means for you is smoother tones and a more interactive workflow, no matter how many tweaks you make to your images (especially when working with RAW photos).

CameraBag’s innovative tile-based workflow lets you instantly see exactly what adjustments you’ve applied at any point, so you can easily tweak, re-order, layer, and nest them as needed. This workflow also lets you do things that are simply impossible in other photo editors, like layering multiple tone curves rather than trying to squeeze all levels adjustments into one complicated curve.

Start with CameraBag's large set of included filter presets, then go deeper by creating and sharing your own. You can even use any filter you make with CameraBag in our newest iPhone photo app, Fotograf.

Key Features

  • Large set of built-in high-quality adjustable filters
  • Full suite of photographic tools, including advanced curve editors
  • Build your own entirely new filters from scratch or from existing filters

  • Innovative tools not found anywhere else, such as CameraBag's curve-based color corrector
  • Fast image processing via the revolutionary Analog Engine
  • 32-bits-per-component color depth

This Used to be pretty much the best Easy to use editing program. It had a bunch of amazing filters that otherwise you were hard pressed to find or do unless you had photoshop and a lot of time on your hands.

Now its been stripped down to almost barley nothing. It has a handfull of very minor filters where almost nothing changes but a few tone or color differences between them all. This is nothing like the program I purchased years ago. Its a shell of the old program.

The old version wasnt very vast either but the one redeeming quality is they had a good couple dozen filters and borders. I actually was hoping they would add more and keep expanding. But instead they back peddled and removed them all added a bunch of simplistic ones and called it a update with a bunch of new filters!!! nope... we got screwed.

Do not buy its nothing now but a very very very very basic editor that isnt worth more the a dollar or two at most.

***EDIT***

I'm going to jump in and FULLY recant my negative review for one HUGE reason.

Those of you that were angry about the old filters being removed with the new update, you can ABSOLUTELY add every single filter you loved back into the new and improved CameraBag 2.7.

So STOP being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off for nothing and go here:

http://nevercenter.com/camerabag/desktop/download/

Once you're there look for this section below and click each one of the four zip files to download them:

Legacy Styles:
CameraBag v2.6 Borders
CameraBag v2.6 Cameras
CameraBag v2.6 Default Favorites
CameraBag v2.0 Legacy Styles

After you download all four you're ready to rock! Below are instructions on how to put them all back in!

Step 1: Open CameraBag 2

Step 2: Click "File" at the top left, and select "Reveal Presets Folder"

Step 3: Now that your presets folder is open, keep it open, but CLOSE CameraBag.

Step 4: In this folder, you should see "Default Presets".... Those are the filters currently in the NEW version. Make three new folders and name them whatever you like, but mine are named "Borders", "Cameras", "and "Old Favorites". I had a fourth folder for "Legacy Styles", but I'll explain why I took it out in the next step.

Step 5: Extract your Borders zip in the "Borders" folder, and the Cameras zip into the "Cameras" folder.

You will want to extract the "CameraBag v2.6 Default Favorites" and the "CameraBag v2.0 Legacy Styles" zip files into the same folder, because both zips have a total of 36 identical filters that would just be duplicates taking up space in different folders.

So, once you extract the 2.6 Default favorites zip into the "Old Favorites" folder (or whatever you named it), do the same thing for the 2.0 Legacy favorites zip. Once you add in the 2.0 Legacy Styles zip into the folder, you will get a prompt about the duplicate filter names. Click to SKIP all duplicates, to remove the 36 you dont need.

Step 6:

If you've made it to this point, you win!

Close your presets folder and OPEN CameraBag. You will now see every border, camera, and filter you so dearly loved in the old version, is now back and ready to use!

ENJOY!

If this were priced at 10 to 15 Euros, I'd recommend it. 27,99? No way, there are better alternatives for similar prices or cheaper.

Know what I love? Dropping money on some really promising software that winds up being a demo because the program freezes when I attempt to save a file. Example wanted? Well, my project looks great. A massive improvement on the original. I've tweaked a file for twenty minutes. Now, the gray screen of freezing programs appears after attempting to save. My hatred and frustration cannot be appeased. Now, visions of dispensing punishment upon the devs responsible for this half-♥♥♥♥♥ program fill my thoughts. Hate.

Warum also "nicht empfohlen"?
